Puerto Vallarta Real Estate
Although property taxes are much lower here than in foreign destinations they still need to be paid. The city of Puerto Vallarta has made it easy for us to pay our taxes online.
Property Tax has to be paid every year for the properties you own in Mexico. If you pay during January and February you get a 15% discount (already in the billed amount you receive) and a 5% discount if you pay in March.
You can find out how much your payment is each year looking on the Puerto Vallarta government web site: www.puertovallarta.gob.mx. Go to “Pago de Predial”, introduce your account number and you will see your statement. Note this only applies if you have an outstanding debt. If you don’t owe anything you will not get a statement. You can pay with a credit card online (Mastercard or Visa) or personally at City Hall with cash or credit card. No checks are accepted.
