Bucerias is the central point of the longest stretch of beach of the entire Bay of Banderas. Known for its wide sandy beaches, the combination of gentle surf and just-the-right seasonal winds, it’s become highly popular for stand-up paddle boarding and a mecca for kite-surfing. Its well-established arts and music scene, pueblo charm and varied festivals have drawn a wide demographic of both full-time and second-home foreign and national residents.

It’s evolved into a diverse community with home and condo construction having largely occurred over the last 15 to 20 years. A lively centro with an attractive seaside plaza and the nearby Zona Dorada have the major concentration of outdoor markets, boutiques, galleries, music venues, bars and local and international restaurants. It has a full slate of essential services and amenities.
